In addition to being much more decorative than blocks of butter, butter curls also melt and spread more readily. The secret to making beautiful butter curls is to warm the curler in a container of hot water between curls, then draw it across the face of a block of very cold butter. Drop each curl into ice water as it is made and refrigerate until serving time. This stainless steel tool is made in Japan.
