Description
The vanilla bean is the seed pod of a native Mexican orchid which has been transplanted to other tropical areas. The farmed pods are individually picked as they ripen and are cured in large batches by alternating exposure to daytime sun with sweating overnight in wooden boxes. The beans are then packed and stored for 3 to 6 months to develop their full flavour. Nielsen-Massey, the largest vanilla producer in the world, uses only the finest Madagascar vanilla beans in these all-natural products.
